The present invention relates to a high power energy storage device additive and a lithium ion capacitor comprising the same and, more particularly, to: a method for manufacturing a new lithium ion capacitor additive which, by being added to a carbon-based material applied as a positive electrode active material of a lithium ion capacitor, and electrochemically doping lithium ion onto a negative electrode, enables improved capacity and energy density; a lithium ion capacitor additive manufactured thereby; and a lithium ion capacitor comprising the same.
