Automatic energy management and energy consumption reduction, especially in commercial and multi-building systems

Номер: US20030171851A1
Принадлежит: WEBGEN SYSTEMS Inc

Automatic energy management is provided, in even the most complex multi-building system. The necessity of a human operator for managing energy in a complex, multi-building system is reduced and even eliminated. Computer-based monitoring and computer-based recognition of adverse energy events (such as the approach of a new energy peak) is highly advantageous in energy management. Immediate automatic querying of energy users within a system of buildings for energy curtailment possibilities is provided. Such immediate, automatic querying may be answered by the energy users through artificial intelligence and/or neural network technology provided to or programmed into the energy users, and the queried energy users may respond in real-time. Those real-time computerized responses with energy curtailment possibilities may be received automatically by a data processing facility, and processed in real-time. Advantageously, the responses from queried energy users with energy curtailment possibilities may be automatically processed into a round-robin curtailment rotation which may be implemented by a computer-based control system. Thus, impact on occupants is minimized, and energy use and energy cost may be beneficially reduced in an intelligent, real-time manner. The invention also provides for early-recognition of impending adverse energy events, optimal response to a particular energy situation, real-time analysis of energy-related data, etc.

1,177,922. Rotary positive-displacement pumps and motors. DOWTY HYDRAULIC UNITS Ltd. May 9, 1967 [Feb.17, 1966], No.6993/66. Heading F1F. In a rotary positive-displacement hydraulic pump, or motor, of the externally-meshing gear-type, pressure-loaded bearing-bushes 20-- 23 for shafts 16--19 carrying a pair of gears 14, 15 are lubricated by small quantities of working fluid at low-pressure entering a groove 48 in each bush through a radial slot 46, or 47, in the face of the bush adjacent the respective gear and an annular groove 38, 39, 40 or 41 in the corresponding shaft, the slot aforesaid being located adjacent a low-pressure port for said fluid. The working fluid enters each of the slots 46, 47 whenever one of the gear-tooth spaces is in register therewith. To ensure proper lubrication, a groove 50 in each bush is connected to the associated groove 48 by a further groove 53 and to another groove 55 by a chamber 36, 37, 42 or 43 and a channel 54, the groove 55 being situated such that suction is effected therein by the gear-teeth on each gear that are disengaging the gear-tooth spaces on the other gear. Pressureloading is effected by chambers 34, 35 connected to the high-pressure side of the gears and sealed by rings 30, 31 located eccentrically by projections 28, 29 to distribute axial thrust in accordance with the hydraulic gradient across the gears. The bushes 20, 22 and 21, 23 may be rendered integral with each other; and each of the grooves 53 may be replaced by at least one helical groove. There may be more than two gears.

Номер: WO2017161326A1
Автор: David Wesley Weaver
Принадлежит: Oceaneering International Inc

An unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), comprising one or more motors, one or more non-destructive testing data collectors, and an electro-magnet, may be used to inspect a structure to which it can magnetically attach by having the UAV approach the structure and activating the electro-magnet when the UAV is a predetermined distance to the structure to be inspected. Once maneuvered close enough to the structure to allow the electro-magnet to magnetically attach to the structure to be inspected, the UAV may be secured against the structure using the electromagnet proximate an area to be inspected such that the non-destructive testing data collector is disposed proximate the area to be inspected. Data may then be collected using the nondestructive testing data collector.

MéTODO E SISTEMA PARA CONTROLE DE SUPRESSãO DO MODO DE ARTlFìClO. METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR CONTROL OF SUPPRESSION OF THE ARTlFICLE MODE. The present application provides a method and system for controlling artifice suppression schemes in media content such that support for artifice mode can be rehabilitated for received content. In one embodiment of the present invention, a method for controlling firing mode suppression includes examining a received media content signal to identify portion (s) of media content with disabled firing mode. The method further includes monitoring the identified portions of the media content with the artifice disabled, to determine which portion (s) of a portion of the media content with the artifice disabled has been watched. In one embodiment, the artifice functionality is then restored to those portions of the media content with artifice disabled that satisfy the preconditions defined in the media content as it is being watched.

Automatic energy management and energy consumption reduction, especially in commercial and multi-building systems

Номер: US20050043862A1

Method and apparatus for storing memory attributes

Номер: US11307784B2
Принадлежит: Oracle International Corp

A system includes a processor and memory including one or more memory region groups, each including a plurality of distinct memory regions. In embodiments, each memory region of a particular memory region group has a same set of memory attributes and is associated with a same attribute group identifier (AGI). In response to an access request to a memory location of a memory region within the particular memory region group, the AGI may be used to identify the set of memory attributes to be applied when executing the access request. In response to a request to change one or more memory attributes of the particular memory region group, update of a single entry changes the memory attributes for all memory regions of the particular memory region group, without accessing individual metadata of each memory region. The update can be accomplished atomically and substantially simultaneously.
