... 본 발명은 스마트 재료인 Magnetorheological Elastomer (MRE)를 적용하여 인가 전류에 의한 자기장 세기에 따라 특성이 가변되는 가변형 디퍼런셜 마운트에 관한 것이다. 상기 가변형 디퍼런셜 마운트는 차량 등의 특정한 운전 조건에서 인가 전류에 의해 특성을 가역적이면서 즉각적으로 변화시킬 수 있다. 차량의 코너링 등의 운전 조건에서 조종안정성을 확보하기 위해서는 일반 주행 시 보다 높은 강성의 고무 마운트가 필요하다. 그러나, 기존의 고무 마운트는 정해진 특성을 나타내므로 강성 변화에 따라 상충되는 개념인 승차감과 조종안정성을 동시에 확보할 수 없다. 따라서, 본 발명에서는 이러한 점을 감안하여 MRE를 이용한 가변형 디퍼런셜 마운트 장치를 제공함으로써, 자기장 세기에 따라 특성이 가변되는 MRE를 이용하여 특정 주행 시 MRE에 자기장을 인가하여 MRE 내부의 자기반응성 입자가 자속 방향의 사슬 형상의 클러스터를 형성함으로써 전단방향의 저항, 즉 강성이 증가하도록 구성할 수 있다. 그러므로, 본 발명에 따른 MRE를 이용한 가변형 디퍼런셜 마운트 장치를 차량에 적용하면 특정한 주행 조건에서의 가변형 디퍼런셜 마운트 장치의 강성을 가역적이고 즉각적으로 변화시킴으로써 차량에서 일반적으로 상충되는 개념인 승차감과 조종안정성을 동시에 확보할 수 있는 효과가 있다.
