This invention is data processing apparatus and method. Data is protecting from corruption using an error correction code by generating an error correction code corresponding to the data. In this invention the data and the corresponding error correction code are carried forward to another set of registers without regenerating the error correction code or using the error correction code for error detection or correction. Only later are error correction detection and correction actions taken. The differing data/error correction code registers may be in differing pipeline phases in the data processing apparatus. This invention forwards the error correction code with the data through the entire datapath that carries the data. This invention provides error protection to the whole datapath without requiring extensive hardware or additional time.

The master device adds the corresponding number and types of credits to the stored amount. The slave device is ready to accept another bus transaction and the master device is re-enabled to initiate the bus transaction. In many types of interactions a bus agent may act as both master and slave depending upon the state of the process.

The Multicore Bus Architecture (MBA) protocol includes a novel technique of sharing the same physical channel for all transaction types. Two channels, the Transaction Attribute Channel (TAC) and the Transaction Data Channel (TDC) are used. A stop or valve, in the shape of the hollow device, is fitted into the hollow portion of the device, and may be held by another flange inside the wall of the box, to seal it in normal operation. However, this stop is secured within the hollow portion of the device by a flexible coupling that holds the stop in place in normal operation, but allows it to move to an open position when the nozzle of a fire extinguisher is pushed against it. This permits a fire within the engine box to be extinguished quickly and safely without the necessity of opening the lids of the box, which would admit large quantities of air to feed the combustion and flames.

The thermistors are positioned, one adjacent the inboard end of the fuse and the other adjacent the outboard end thereof. If the inboard temperature is below a predetermined target value a 14 inch lamp is turned on. If the inboard temperature is at or above a predetermined target value an 11 inch lamp is turned.

A method for producing Group 8 (VIII) metallocene or metallocene-like compounds employs a compound that includes a Cp’ anion, such as found, together with a counterion, in a cyclopentadienide or cyclopentadienide-like salt. In one embodiment, the method includes reacting a metal salt, a (Cp) compound, such as a substituted or unsubstituted cyclopentadiene or indene, and a ligand (L) to form an intermediate compound and reacting the intermediate compound with a Cp’ compound, eg., a cyclopentadienide or cyclopentadienide-like salt, where the metal salt can be is a ruthenium, an osmium or an iron halide or nitrate and L is an electron pair donor. Unsubstituted, mono-substituted as well as symmetrically or asymmetrically di- or multi-substituted metallocenes or metallocene-like compounds can be produced. In another embodiment, unsubstituted or symmetrically substituted metallocenes are formed by reacting MX2(PPh3)m with a Cp’ compound, where m = 3 or 4. The method can be used to form precursors for chemical vapor deposition of thin films.

The ends of the socket walls are spaced apart to form a transverse notch through the socket to receive a rectangular strut. The disc member has slots arrayed in groups of three around the periphery. Straps extending from the slots outward are attached to the boat structure to stabilize the cover support. The disc member has four recesses with walls extending downward to reinforce the disc member and the socket. Lines extending from the recesses outward are attached to the boat structure to stabilize the cover support. Each recess has an interior cavity to receive a terminal knot in the line so as not to abrade the boat cover. A step is placed against the boat sole, to prevent the strut from slipping transversely.

Embodiments herein include a media conditioning module for being connected between a media source supplying sheets of media and a printing device. The media conditioning module is adapted to remove moisture from the sheets of media received from the media source before the sheets of media are supplied to the printing device. The media conditioning module comprises a heater and a cooler. The heater has manifolds positioned to supply heated air to both sides of the sheets of media as the sheets of media pass through the media conditioning module. The cooler is positioned to supply non-heated air to both sides of the sheets of media as the sheets of media pass through the media conditioning module. The heater is positioned with respect to the cooler such that the sheets of media pass by the heater before the sheets of media pass by the cooler.

A lift gate latch is used in connection with a lift gate and a handrail on a boat. The handrail has a jamb, and the lift gate has at least one stile. The lift gate latch has left and right side walls spaced apart and disposed adjacent the deck of the boat. Reinforcing ribs extend along both side walls, which straddle the jamb and the stile. A transverse member and a base member extend between the side walls. A portion of the right side wall has a height lower than the left side wall height, so that the stile can pass easily over it when opening and closing the gate. Fasteners pass through holes in the side walls and attach to the deck. Bosses are juxtaposed with the holes. The fasteners and bosses strengthen the side wall adjacent each hole.

This invention is a bus communication protocol. A master device stores bus credits. The master device may transmit a bus transaction only if it holds sufficient number and type of bus credits. Upon transmission, the master device decrements the number of stored bus credits. The bus credits correspond to resources on a slave device for receiving bus transactions. The slave device must receive the bus transaction if accompanied by the proper credits. The slave device services the transaction. The slave device then transmits a credit return. The master device adds the corresponding number and types of credits to the stored amount. The slave device is ready to accept another bus transaction and the master device is re-enabled to initiate the bus transaction. In many types of interactions a bus agent may act as both master and slave depending upon the state of the process.

Finger pinch guard for handrails

A finger pinch guard is used in connection with railings on a boat. Stanchions of adjacent railing segments are mounted close together on the boat gunwales. Each pair of adjacent railings forms a generally Y shaped profile in an arcuate transition area wherein fingers can jam. A mounting member having an axle is attached to the railing in this area. A curved member, typically including a generally spherical wheel, is attached to the mounting member axle, and is able to rotate on the axle. Thus, a finger introduced into this area with downward force will cause the wheel to rotate, thereby directing the finger to roll outward off the wheel and away from the railing. Another embodiment has a mounting member with a unitary, non-rotating curved member. The finger will slide off the curved member and away from the railing.

An illuminable helmet assembly is disclosed. The helmet assembly may include a helmet body having an outer shell, an energy management layer and a fit system. A light diffuser is coupled to an outer surface of the helmet body, the diffuser having an illumination surface with an outer perimeter and defining a footprint of the illumination surface extending inward from the illumination surface to a center of the helmet body. A light source is positioned adjacent to and in some cases outside of the outer perimeter and the footprint of the illumination surface. The light source is positioned to emit light toward the illumination surface at an acute angle to the illumination surface.
