The present invention relates to a method for preparing a fluorinated compound. Particularly, according to the present invention, CoF_3-containing fluorinated cobalt is used to carry out fluorination of 1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and 1,1,1,2,2-pentafluoropropane to produce 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane and 1,1,1,2,2,3-hexafluoropropane, respectively. Then, the resultant product is subjected to dehydroflouorination to form 1,2,3,3,3-pentafluoropropene. Thus, according to the present invention, it is possible to produce 1,1,1,2,3,3-hexafluoropropane and 1,1,1,2,2,3-hexafluoropropane continuously with high efficiency. In addition, it is possible to improve the reaction stability by adjusting the mixing ratio of fluorinated cobalt to the reactants and the ratio of CoF_2:CoF_3 in fluorinated cobalt.
