Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zum Erzeugen einer strukturierten Schicht auf einem Bogenmaterial in einer Verarbeitungsmaschine. Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung derart zu verbessern, dass die Maschine flexibler nutzbar ist. Gelöst wird das dadurch, indem in einem durch das Folientransferwerk gebildeten Applikationswerk (B) eine Lackschicht auf einem Substrat an der Oberfläche verformende Einrichtung mit einem Pressspalt (10) angeordnet ist, in dem eine Strukturschicht auf das mit der Lackschicht beschichtete Substrat gepresst wird. Die Pressung findet nur am Gegendruckzylinder (2) und dem weiteren Zylinder (1, 30) statt. Im Anschluss an den Pressspalt (10) wird die Strukturschicht und das mit der Lackschicht beschichtete Substrat während einer trocknenden Bestrahlung synchron auf dem Gegendruckzylinder (2) transportierbar sind. Dann wird die Strukturfläche von dem Substrat in einem Auslaufspalt (11) getrennt und abgeführt.

The thermal sensor is advantageously in electrical communication with the heating element to shut off the heating element when a predetermined temperature is reached. By spacing the thermal sensor from the actual heater, the sensor is insulated from the heater so that the temperature at the sensor will be less than the certain pre-determined temperature at the heater during heating. Accurate control of the heating of the mugs and substrate is achieved in a manner which eliminates the need for separately controlling and/or monitoring the time which the heat is applied.

A method for material deposition employs a printing press, such as those used in cold foil transfers, that permits a greater usage of the foil web than traditional methods. This is achieved by increasing the number of times the foil web is passed through the press, while simultaneously taking into account the area that has not been used and adjusting the impacted area of the foil web accordingly. The foil web is adjusted by using a series of adjustable rollers and angular bars to change the length of the circumferential path the foil takes through the press. By modifying the angle of these rollers and the distance between them, the path can be lengthened or shortened to correspond to the particular needs for a particular print job. This allows the press to use the foil in such a way that reduces foil waste and manufacturer and consumer costs.

Technologies are generally provided for textile items with breathable heat transfer labels. In some examples, a reversed design of a label may be printed onto a surface of a carrier using a water-based or solvent-based ink. A layer of a thermoplastic adhesive may be applied onto the surface of the carrier with the reversed design and a predefined pattern of holes may be laser-drilled into the carrier through the thermoplastic adhesive to avoid appearance of burn marks on an external surface of the label in the completed product. The carrier may be onto a garment or textile item by affixing the thermoplastic adhesive onto a surface of the garment and activating the thermoplastic adhesive. The carrier may then be removed revealing the design of the label with laser-drilled holes on the garment or textile item.

The mass ratio of the styrene-based resin to the (meth)acrylic acid ester-based resin in the pressure-responsive particles is from 80:20 to 20:80. A difference between the lowest glass transition temperature and the highest glass transition temperature of resins contained in the pressure-responsive particles is 30° C. or more.

A method for applying an image to the surface of a ceramic object comprising:providing a decal printing paper having:(a) a base paper;(b) a water-soluble release layer coating the base paper; and(c) an image transfer layer made from liquid cover coat and glass/ceramic flux, said glass/ceramic flux containing glass frit with a melting point of about 1150° to 1750° F.;printing an image on the decal printing paper in a single pass using a laser printer with inorganic pigment toners to create a printed image layer;immersing the decal printing paper in water to release the image transfer layer and printed image layer from the base paper;applying the image transfer layer and printed image layer to the surface of the ceramic object; andheating the ceramic object to a temperature sufficient to evaporate/oxidize organic materials in the image transfer layer and melt the flux and glass frit, thereby adhering the printed image to the ceramic surface.2.
