Light duty cart

A cart includes foldable upper and lower frame members. In some arrangements, the cart can also double as a table. The cart includes a main-frame structure, an upper framework pivotally attached to an upper portion of the main-frame, and a lower frame stand pivotally attached to a bottom portion of the main-frame. A panel is provided in the cart space defined by the side members of the main-frame structure. The cart stands upright when the main-frame is in a vertical position with respect to the surface of the ground and the lower frame stand is extended with respect to the main-frame. The cart can function as a table when the main-frame is positioned horizontally with respect to the surface of the ground and the upper framework and the lower frame stand are extended with respect to the main-frame.

Light Duty Cart

The present invention relates to a cart with foldable frame members that can be used to carry items such as beach chairs, coolers, towels, blankets, and food stuffs. The cart can also double as a table. The cart includes a main-frame structure, an upper framework pivotally attached near the top of the main-frame, and a lower frame stand pivotally attached near the bottom of the main-frame. A wheel system pivotally attaches near the bottom of the main-frame and a panel attaches to the cart space defined by the members of the main-frame structure. The cart stands upright when the main-frame is in a vertical position with respect to the surface of the ground and the lower frame stand is fully extended with respect to the main-frame. The cart can as a table when the main-frame is positioned horizontally with respect to the surface of the ground and the upper framework and the lower frame stand are fully extended with respect to the main-frame. The light duty cart also includes swivel locks that pivotally connect portions of the cart. A lower swing arm safety latch system maintains the first frame stand in a fully extended position with respect to the main-frame. An off center swing hinge lock system pivotally attaches the upper framework to the main-frame. The hinge lock systems prohibits unintentional closure or collapse of the framework from its fully extended position with respect to the plane of the main-frame.

Adjustable Table Apparatus and Method

Some embodiments of a table system can include a table that is readily adjustable between a deployed position and a storage position. In particular embodiments, when the table is in the unlocked condition, the tabletop surface can be readily pivoted from a generally horizontal position to a generally vertical position, for example, for purposes of storing or transporting the table.

A foldable table may include a table top and legs that are movable between an extended position and a collapsed position. The table top may include a first section and a second section that are connected by a hinge assembly. A locking member may be sized and configured to lock the hinge assembly in a fixed position. Advantageously, moving the legs between the extended and collapsed positions may cause the locking mechanism to move between the locked and unlocked positions. A foldable table may include a table top and legs that are movable between an extended position and a collapsed position. The table top may include a first section and a second section that are connected by a hinge assembly. A locking member may be sized and configured to lock the hinge assembly in a fixed position. Advantageously, moving the legs between the extended and collapsed positions may cause the locking mechanism to move between the locked and unlocked positions.
