If the percentage indicates the absence of a narrowband signal, then a lower second threshold is applied to confirm the absence according to the percentage of power above the second threshold. The signal is classified as a narrowband signal or pre-classified as a wideband signal based on the percentage. Pre-classified wideband signals are classified as a wideband NC signal or target signal using spectrum masks.

A method and system for measuring noise of a machine are disclosed by the present invention, and the method includes: acquiring a first noise interference set, searching for noise interferences which are less than a preset noise interference threshold from the first noise interference set to obtain a second noise interference set, and then calculating an average value of the second noise interference set; and determining whether the average value of the second noise interference set is less than or equal to a set threshold, and if the average value of the second noise interference set is less than or equal to the set threshold, the current noise of the machine is equal to the average value of the second noise interference set. With the present invention, a more accurate measurement value of the noise of the machine can be obtained.

A novel receiver architecture optimizes receiver performance in the presence of interference. In various embodiments, power estimation circuits are used with variable selectivity to determine the exact nature of the interference and to optimize the performance correspondingly. Also, the actual method of optimizing the receiver performance is novel compared to the prior art in that the gain settings and the baseband filter order (stages to be used) will be optimized based on the nature of the interference as determined by the power detector measurements. A method comprising:receiving a signal on a downlink channel, the received signal having been generated based, at least in part, on a sequence of control bits, wherein the sequence of control bits has an associated orthogonal bit sequence;calculating a noise power estimate of the received signal by extracting noise components from an in-phase (I) component and a quadrature (Q) component associated with the received signal, wherein the noise components are extracted by multiplying the in-phase: (I) component and the quadrature (Q) component by the orthogonal bit sequence; anddetermining a signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) based on the calculated noise power estimate.2. An apparatus and method for providing a location information service using a mobile code in a Mobile Station (MS) are provided. The method includes obtaining a mobile code scanned by an input device of the MS; acquiring location information if the location information is included in the obtained mobile code; matching coordinates of the acquired location information on a first cyber map in the MS if cyber map information corresponding to the coordinates of the acquired location information is included in the first cyber map in the MS; and if the cyber map information corresponding to the coordinates of the acquired location information is not included in the first cyber map in the MS, updating the first cyber map with cyber map information corresponding to coordinates of corresponding location information obtained from a second cyber map in a server and matching the acquired location information on the updated first cyber map. 1. In a wireless multi-hop network, packet routing paths are determined for a first node device based on passive measurement of data messages over a wireless link formed between the first node device and a neighboring second node device. The first node device transmits a first data message to the second node device via the wireless link. At least one of the first node device and the second node device monitors at least one transmission performance parameter corresponding to only a selected subset of frames of the first data message. The selected subset of frames has structural similarity to selected subsets of frames of other data messages communicated and monitored by other node devices of the network. A link cost associated with the wireless link is determined based on at least one transmission performance parameter value produced as a result of the monitoring, which can be used to update the packet routing paths. 1.
