Dielectric composite with reinforced elastomer and integrated electrode

Номер: AU2018247879B2
Принадлежит:

The present disclosure is directed to dielectric elastomeric composites that include a retainable processing membrane, an elastomer material, and an electrically conductive material. The elastomer layer may be partially imbibed into the retainable processing membrane. The retainable processing membrane may be porous. The retainable processing membrane is compacted in the transverse direction, machine direction, or in both directions prior to the application of an elastomer material and an electrically conductive material. The compaction of the retainable processing membrane may form structured folds or folded fibrils in the membrane, giving the retainable processing membrane a low modulus and flexibility. In some embodiments, the dielectric composites are positioned in a stacked configuration. Alternatively, the dielectric elastomeric composites may have a wound configuration. The dielectric composites have a total thickness less than about 170 µm. The dielectric elastomeric composites ...

The main advantage of the method is that it results in a sheet without enlarged seams i.e. a better looking product with fewer handling difficulties. Uses of the sheet product include roofing and tank lining. Also described is an apparatus for making the sheet material which comprises carrier means for receiving a plurality of sheets and supply means for feeding the sheets to said carrier ...

SLIP RESISTANT SHOE COVER

Номер: US20210337930A1
Принадлежит: UA Thomas Co. Ltd.

A shoe cover is a natural latex article with reduced amount of sulfur cross linking agent and accelerators including zinc dithiocarbamate that break catalytically soluble sulfur Ssulfur rings forming sulfur linear chains. Surfactants present in the pre-vulcanization composition wets natural polyisoprene particles and permeates small sized sulfur into the interior of these particles thereby pre-vulcanizing the particles. The latex emulsion also has post-vulcanization composition with accelerators that crosslink between particles during the post vulcanization cure cycle. The dipped natural polyisoprene article is substantially uniformly cured both in the inter-particle and intra-particle regions and reliably exhibits high cross link density, uniform distribution of double bonds and zinc segregation at the boundaries or original particles. The natural rubber films exhibit high tensile strength, tensile modulus, tear strength, elongation with low modulus of the shoe cover. The bottom surface of the shoe cover is etched to produce a slip resistant surface. 1. A natural polyisoprene latex shoe cover article comprising:a. natural polyisoprene particles that are pre-vulcanized by the addition of soluble sulfur catalytically broken to chains of sulfur and incorporated into natural latex particles by use of one or more surfactants;b. said natural polyisoprene forming a latex bath applied to a coagulant coated shoe cover former thereby forming a first natural latex layer;c. the first latex layer coated former is dipped in a thicker higher viscosity natural latex to form a thicker second latex layer only on the bottom ground contacting portion of the shoe cover;d. the second latex layer is etched in a slow moving parallel flowing laminar flow of nonpolar solvent and polar solvents which form discrete parallel streams and polar solvents dissolve natural latex coating forming parallel grooves and non polar solvent does not attack natural latex coating forming ridges surrounding ...

A Precious Metal Switch Contact Component and Its Preparation Method

Номер: US20160372276A1

This invention discloses a preparation method for precious metal switching contact components by means of plating masking, plating and etching processes. The plating masking process is performed by using a plating mask ink with or without a photo exposure machine. Plating of precious metals is performed by electroless plating or electro plating methods. Etching is carried out with etching solutions containing weak organic acids, weak inorganic acids or acidic buffering agents. Improvement of the etched surface gloss and prevention of the side etching are realized with the sulfur-contained compounds. The dust- and oil stain-resistances of the switch contacts are improved by increasing the etching depth. The switch contacts made by this invention are featured with the advantages of good reliability, good resistance to dust and oil stain, short contact bounce time, long service life, low cost of raw materials and so on.

Crosslinked elastic material formed from a branched block copolymer

Номер: US20090098787A1

Принадлежит: Kimberly Clark Worldwide Inc

An elastic material for use in an absorbent article is provided. The elastic material contains a crosslinked network formed from a branched block copolymer having a monoalkenyl aromatic midblock positioned between conjugated diene endblocks (e.g., butadiene-styrene-butadiene (“B-S-B”) triblock copolymer). Prior to crosslinking, the branched block copolymers have a relatively low viscosity and thus may be readily formed into a precursor elastic material (e.g., film, strands, web, etc.) that is subsequently crosslinked to achieve the desired elastic and mechanical properties. Crosslinking is typically achieved through the formation of free radicals (unpaired electrons) that link together to form a plurality of carbon-carbon covalent bonds at the conjugated diene endblocks.
