PURPOSE: A polymer blend for thermoplastic cellular materials is provided to show better mechanical properties than cellular materials made of pure homopolymer or copolymer and to ensure heat resistance and high rigidity. CONSTITUTION: A polymer blend for thermoplastic cellular materials represents a lower density foaming material. The lower density foaming material has an extrusion sheet or a board shape. The density of the lower density foaming material is 200 kg/m^3 or less. The thermal conductivity of the lower density foaming material is 0.028~0.038 W/m.K. The lower density foaming material is made of PET/PC mixture. The PET/PC mixture contains 80-98wt% of high density PET and PC. The content of PC is 2-20wt%, more preferably, 2-5wt%. The average molecular weight of PC is 4000g/mole or greater. The lower density foaming material shows resistance against high temperature and rigid and flexible properties.
