A portable electronic device ( 100 ) includes a base cover ( 12 ), a latching assembly ( 13 ) including a knob ( 14 ) and a spring ( 16 ), and a removable panel ( 18 ). The knob includes a sliding slit ( 1462 a) and a latching projection ( 1452 ). The panel includes a latching hole ( 185 ) and a resisting protrusion ( 1852 ). The knob is engagable in the latching hole. The knob is attached on the base cover and can be rotated. One end of the spring biases the knob, and another end of the spring protrudes out of the sliding slit and biases the base cover. When the panel is attached on the base cover, the resisting protrusion and the latching projection interfere with each other to drive the knob to rotate in a first direction, the spring rebounds and drives the knob to rotate in an opposite second direction, and the resisting protrusion is secured below the latching projection.

Holder for external keypad for portable electronic device

A holder (35) includes a base (33), an orientation block (36), a located block (37) and two magnets (38, 39). The base includes a mounting portion (40) and a securing portion (50). The orientation block is fixed in the mounting portion. The located block is slidably engaged in the securing portion. One of the magnets is disposed adjacent to the securing portion, the other of the magnets is disposed in the located block. The magnets are attracted to each other and configured for adjusting a distance between the orientation block and the located block.

BATTERY COVER MECHANISM

A battery cover mechanism includes a housing and a cover engageable with the housing, the housing has two sliding grooves defined at two sides thereof and a plurality of latching holes at an end thereof. The cover forms rails at the two sides thereof to engage with the sliding grooves accordingly and a plurality of latches at an end thereof to latch into the latching holes of the housing correspondingly. The housing forms at least a stopping slot, the cover forms at least a stopping body, the stopping body is slidably received in the stopping slot and cannot slide out from the stopping slot.

A hinge assembly includes a body drive member ( 10 ) having an outer screw thread ( 12 ) on an outer periphery thereof, a cover drive member ( 20 ) having a first end surface ( 28 ) formed one end thereof, a follower ( 30 ) having a second end surface ( 34 ) formed on one end thereof, and an elastic element ( 40 ) abutting the follower. The cover drive member has an inner screw thread ( 26 ) formed in a cavity ( 22 ) of the cover drive member. The follower has a central hole ( 32 ). The body drive member extends through the cover drive member, the follower and the elastic element, thereby integrating the hinge assembly into a complete unit. The outer screw thread of the body drive member engages with the inner screw thread of the cover drive member, and the first end surface of the cover drive member engaging with the second end surface of the body drive member.

A holder for holding a surface contact card ( 40 ) includes a main body ( 10 ), a latch ( 20 ), a fixing portion ( 18 ) and an elastic element ( 30 ). The main body defines a receiving groove ( 16 ) and a sliding groove ( 17 ). The receiving groove is located at one side of the main body. A diameter of the cap is no larger than a diameter of the screw hole, and a diameter of the post is larger than a diameter of the opening. In use, the post is interferingly inserted into the opening and enlarges the cap, which engages the screw cover in the screw hole. In removal, the post is released from the opening, and the cap returns to its original size. The screw cover can then be easily removed from the screw hole. Attachment and removal of the screw cover is easy and safe.
