The pipe (22) has a main exhaust pipe (24) and a mitigator through which exhaust gas is passed in different flow directions (26), where the mitigator is arranged in downstream of the exhaust pipe. The exhaust gas is exhausted outside from the pipe through an outlet port in one of the flow directions. A branch device (32) with a branch pipe (34) and a circular flap (36) is arranged upstream of the mitigator. Flow of the gas through the mitigator is prevented by the branch device. The gas from the exhaust pipe is guided into the branch pipe through the branch device.
