Disclosed are a composition for separating photoresist which can increase reliability and productivity of a manufacturing process, a method for forming a metal pattern and a method for manufacturing a thin film transistor substrate by using the same. The composition for separating photoresist includes 1-10 wt% of alkanolamine, 1-10 wt% of a monoalkylene glycol alkyl ether compound, 10-85 wt% of a dialkylene glycol alkyl ether compound, and 1-5 wt% of a polyalkylene oxide compound represented by chemical formula 2, 0.001-0.01 wt% of an anti-corrosion agent, 5-20 wt% of a nitrogen-containing aprotic polar solvent, and water as the remainder. Accordingly, force for removing the photoresist can be increased, and the separated photoresist can be prevented from being attached to the substrate again.
