... 본 발명은 고주파 백그라운드 활성(high frequency background activity, HFBA)를 이용한 STN의 실-시간(real-time) 확인 방법 및 이를 이용한 DBS 수술 방법에 관한 것이다. 본 발명의 HFBA는 시상밑핵(subthalamic nucleus, STN)-특이적이다. 또한, 본 발명의 백그라운드 활성의 분리는 주파수 컷오프(frequency cutoff; >1,000 Hz) 및 진폭 역치(amplitude threshold; 40-50 μV)를 이용하여 오류(artifacts) 및 스파이크(spikes)를 제거하고 필링 없이 갭들을 연결하여 파워 스펙트럼 밀도를 계산함으로써 실시한다. 더욱이, 본 발명에서 1초 이하의 짧은 시간을 이용하여 실-시간으로 HFBA의 측정이 가능하다. 따라서, 본 발명의 방법은 DBS 수술 동안 보다 객관적이고, 신속하며 효과적인 정보를 제공할 뿐 아니라 의학 결과들을 현저하게 개선시킬 수 있다.
