... 본 발명은 평균 직경이 4~5nm로 확장된 포어 크기를 가지는 확장된-메조포어, 및 입자 내부와 외부에 평균 직경이 20~60nm의 초대형 메조포어를 포함하는 것을 특징으로 하는 메조포러스 실리카 나노입자(MSNs)와 이의 제조방법, 및 이를 거대 분자의 전달을 위한 전달체로 사용하는 용도에 관한 것이다. 본 발명에 따르면, 극대화된 포화 크기를 가지는 MSN 물질을 제조하기 위하여, 가장 일반적인 포어 확장 분자를 사용하는 방법 대신에 부분적인 탈금속화 공정을 통하여 선택적인 에칭 방법을 이용하였다. 이러한 공정에서는, Al, 또는 Si 원자들이 스팀 또는 화학적 에천트에 의해 선택적으로 제거될 수 있으며, 결과적으로 포어 크기는 부분적으로 증가하게 된다. 따라서 본 발명에서는 SiO2의 조절된 에칭을 통하여 200nm 이내에 있는 포어-확장된 MSN 물질을 제조할 수 있는 효과를 가진다. 또한, MSN 크기는 다양한 용도에 적합하도록 200nm 이하로 유지할 수 있다.
