A display device according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a substrate including a display area and a peripheral area around the display area, and a first connection wire on the substrate. The peripheral area includes a bending area and a contact area adjacent to the bending area. The first connection wire is extended across the bending area and the contact area. The first connection wire includes a first portion located in the contact area and a second portion located in the bending area and the contact area and including a first layer and a second layer. At least a part of the second layer of the second portion overlaps the first layer of the second portion. In the contact area, the first layer of the second portion is connected to the first portion and the second layer of the second portion is connected to the first layer of the second portion.
