... 본 발명은 신규한 화합물을 유효성분으로 포함하는 대사이상이 동반된 관절염의 예방 또는 치료용 약학적 조성물에 관한 것으로서, 본 발명은 SMILE의 발현 감소가 대사이상 관절염을 유발하는 것을 확인하였으며, SMILE가 억제되어 유발된 대사이상 관절염은 TNF-알파 억제제에 불응성을 나타내는 것을 확인하였고, TNF-알파 억제제 불응 비만 관절염에서, 바이구아나이드를 처리하면 TNF-알파 억제제로는 개선되지 않았던, IgG2a 및 IL-17의 발현이 억제되는 것을 확인하였다. 또한 SMILE이 과발현되면 대사이상 관절염이 개선되고, 대사이상 류마티스관절염 환자에서 SMILE의 발현이 감소되어 것을 확인하여, SMILE의 발현을 증가시키는 바이구아나이드가 효과적으로 대사이상 관절염을 개선시킬 수 있는 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 염증성 장질환에 바이구아나이드를 처리하면, SMILE의 발현이 증가하는 것을 확인하였다.
