The insulating jacket surrounds and insulates a bottle containing a soft drink, beer or the like. The jacket consists of a cup-shaped base, a hollow cylindrical side wall and a shoulder. The shoulder is provided with a central opening through which the neck of the bottle extends. Provision is made for permitting opening and closing of the jacket so that a bottle contained therein can be removed and replaced by another bottle. Opening and closing is facilitated in one embodiment of the jacket by means of radially extending studs which are removably accommodated in grooves formed in the side wall. In another embodiment the upper edge of the side wall and the lower edge of the shoulder are bevelled and the two bevelled edges are releasably engaged by resilient means.

A collapsible beverage holder for a beverage container is formed from a substantially rigid paperboard sheet having a rectangular body portion having opposite lateral side edges. The bottom portion is provided with a transverse crease dividing the bottom portion into rigid sections which are foldable relative to each other along the transverse crease. The sleeve is foldable between a first, flat configuration and a second, expanded configuration which creates an upper and lower opening of the sleeve. The beverage container is inserted into the sleeve through the upper opening. A method for forming a device that is releasably attachable to a ferromagnetic surface , comprising:providing an object;positioning a magnet between the object and a heat-activated adhesive patch; andapplying heat and pressure to the patch to fuse the patch to the object around the magnet.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the object is formed from one or more flexible or compressible materials.3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising placing a heat-resistant compressible pad against a side of the object opposite the patch before applying heat and pressure to the patch.4. The method of claim 3 , wherein the pressure is sufficient to compress the magnet into the pad such that the magnet and a periphery of the patch surrounding the magnet is embedded in the object.5. The method of claim 4 , wherein the pressure is sufficient to compress the pad such that decompression of the pad upon removal of the pressure causes the patch to stretch around the magnet.6. The method of claim 1 , wherein positioning the magnet comprises adhering a first side of the magnet to the patch.7. The method of claim 6 , wherein positioning the magnet comprises adhering a second side of the magnet to the object.8. The thermal-transfer container sleeve is portable, is non-electric and non-fuel-burning, and is not itself a fluid container, which might not be allowed in some places or circumstances. The thermal-transfer container sleeve is easily pre-heated or pre-cooled with standard kitchen equipment.
