In a method for manufacturing tyres for vehicle wheels, a green tyre, once formed, is transferred into a vulcanisation mould and pressed against the holding walls of a moulding cavity. Concurrently with the pressing step, a fluid present between the green tyre and the holding walls is evacuated through vent valves. The tyre is brought into contact with the closing head of each valve so as to push it toward a closed position of the valve itself. The closing head has a distal portion facing the moulding cavity and includes at least one grip element for the tyre blend, so that the closure member is pulled toward the open position while the moulded and cured tyre is moved away from the inner surface of said moulding cavity.

An embodiment may involve holding a golf ball sub-part within a mold using at least one retractable mold pin; injecting molten molding material into the mold; detecting, during injection, operating conditions within the mold indicative of positions of the molten molding material relative to the at least one mold pin; and based on the detected operating conditions, retracting the at least one mold pin before the molten molding material reaches the at least one mold pin. Other embodiments may retract a mold pin after the molten material contacts the pin but within a duration suitably short enough to avoid undesirable part properties.

A tire vulcanization mold can be configured to provide stable ventilation. For example, a tire molding surface has a ventilation groove having a rectangular shape in plan view. A blade has upper end, contact and communication sections. The upper end section thickness is smaller than a groove thickness. The contact section below the upper end section contacts both thickness-direction-facing side faces of the groove. The communication section communicates between a ventilation hole, and a small gap is formed between the groove and the upper end section. Alternatively, the blade has a groove section formed in at least one side face that faces in a blade thickness direction and extends between upper and lower blade ends to form a small gap between the groove and groove section. Air and gas pass through the gap and the communication section and vent to an exterior of the mold through the ventilation hole.

An injection molding method includes the steps of positioning a core piece in a mold cavity through a plurality of positioning pins; injecting a molten plastic material into the mold cavity to surround and cover the core piece; maintaining the pressure inside the mold cavity at a predetermined maintaining time so that the core piece is positioned by the molten plastic material; retracting the positioning pins from the mold cavity when a predetermined retraction time is reached, so that spaces occupied by the positioning pins in the mold cavity can be filled with the molten plastic material; and completely curing the molten plastic material to form a finished product.

A three-dimensional mesh-like body is disposed on a molding face of a lower mold onto which a liquid raw material of flexible foam is poured. An upper mold is laid over the lower mold to form a cavity, a projection projected on the upper mold toward the cavity is contacted with the three-dimensional mesh-like body, and the three-dimensional mesh-like body is fixed. The three-dimensional mesh-like body is attached and fixed to a front surface of a pad main body, so that the three-dimensional mesh-like body can be prevented from being displaced with respect to the pad main body. Moreover, the position of the three-dimensional mesh-like body can be prevented from being displaced in the process of foaming the liquid raw material because of the projection, and a vent hole can be formed on the pad main body. As a result, a sweaty feeling can be suppressed.
