An electrical seat heater of a vehicle has a heating resistor which is connected to a seat ground cable has a temperature-dependent sensor resistor in the vehicle seat. A control unit is outside the vehicle seat is connected to a control unit ground remotely from the vehicle seat. The voltage measurement for determining the temperature is carried out with the seat heater briefly disconnected from the supply voltage. The heating resistor is connected to the supply voltage via a series circuit including the sensor resistor and a further resistor or to the supply voltage via a power path. The control unit measures the voltage drop at the sensor resistor by a measuring signal cable. The control unit measures the potential difference between the seat ground cable and the control unit ground, which is used to correct the seat temperature.

A method of manufacturing a padded part is provided. The padded part is primarily for use in an item of wear that may be a load-bearing harness or belt. The method includes the steps of providing a first sheet of a flexible material on one side of which is located at least one fastener. A second sheet of flexible material is provided and a layered assembly is created including, in order, the first sheet of material such that said one side of the first sheet is outermost, apiece of mouldable padding, and the second sheet of flexible material. Hot melt adhesive layers are provided between the padding and the sheets of flexible material. The layered assembly is moulded in a press after or during heating of the layered assembly thereby simultaneously bonding the layers of the assembly together and moulding the layered assembly into a predetermined shape.

A window screen that allows for the easy fix of a torn screen. The screen is similar to contemporary window screens. However, this screen contains a grid of squares that can be between 4×4 inches and 8×8 inches in size. The border of each square is a solid fiberglass material which can be 0.5 to 1.0 inch in width. Inside of each square is standard window screen mesh. In the event of a tear, the mesh within the borders of the squares can be cut out. Then, a replacement patch which is the same shape of the removed area can be adhered in place. The patch should be cut so that it contains the surrounding fiberglass border. The border of the patch will be adhered to the window screen so that the borders of the patch overlap the borders on the screen making for a seamless repair.

There is described a padded element comprising a foam substrate having disposed therein a first internal surface and a second internal surface opposed to the first internal surface, the first internal surface being interposed between an outer surface of the foam substrate and the second internal surface, at least one of the first internal surface and the second internal surface comprising a textured portion. In a highly preferred embodiment, the pair of internal surfaces disposed within the body of the foam substrate combine to form one or more cavities in the foam substrate (e.g., by the provision of one internal surface have a textured portion and the other internal surface being untextured). The provision of such a textured surface creates a contacting interface (either at rest or when an occupant sits on the seat) between below or remote from the A-surface of the foam element. This interface has different properties than the exposed surface of the seating element. By adopting this internal interface approach to one or more zones of foam element, it is possible to confer different qualities of comfort and feel to the outer surface of the foam element (e.g., A-surface of a vehicular seat element) even though the appearance of that outer surface may be relatively non-textured. In this manner, the occurrence of “read through” described above is obviated or mitigated. A process and mold for produce the padded element are also described.

The liner includes a tube disposed throughout the liner that is interconnected to a cooling chamber.
