Сущность изобретения заключается в следующем: в процессе подачи вращением гайки 8 к корпусу втулке 7 по ходу часовой стрелки происходит соединение меньшего корпуса цилиндра 12 в стык с буртом 11 и наконечником 9 с центральным каналом 10, соединяющим канал 13 для подачи углекислого газа и отвода электродной проволоки. В результате износа наконечник 9 вращения гайки 8 против хода часовой стрелки происходит отсоединение изношенного наконечника 9 и его заменяют новым наконечником 9. Затем повторяют первоначальный процесс соединения втулки 7 с наконечником 9 при помощи гайки 8, защищающей корпус втулку 7 с 4-мя (четырьмя) отверстиями от попадания брызг расплава металла. Цель изобретения - повышение эффективности отсоса газопылевыделений путем выравнивания скоростей плавления электрода и горения насадки. Насадка 6 выполнена из сгорающего материала с зонами пропитки 7 флегматизатором горения, образующими спиральную линию на поверхности насадки. По мере сгорания электрода 5 нижняя часть насадки 6 нагревается теплом отсасываемых вредных выделений и начинает гореть. Так как скорость горения насадки 6 близка к скорости плавления электрода, то расстояние между нижним торцом насадки 6 и свариваемым изделием поддерживается постоянным автоматически, без участия сварщика. При этом повышается эффективность отсоса газопылевыделений, так как положение сварки не оказывает существенного влияния на процесс горения насадки. 1 ил.

A holder for an arc-forming electrode which directs the flow of air in the direction toward the arc formed by the electrode, the holder being formed of an elongated metallic body having an air supply hose and an electrical conductor attached to it, the body also having a cylindrical nozzle head rotatably affixed at the forward end, the turret having an upper surface with a notch formed therein to receive an electrode, the nozzle head having an internal passageway and a cylindrical external sidewall having an air jet opening communicating with the passageway and arranged to eject air in alignment with the notch, the body having a passageway therein communicating air supplied by the hose to the nozzle head and a tong member pivotally affixed to the body having a spring for releaseably retaining an electrode in contact with the notched upper surface of the nozzle head.

The device consists of a rail located parallel to the seam, a motor-driven trolley running on the rail and carrying a burner which can be moved parallel with or at 90 degrees to the seam. The burner has an adjustable electrode holder and a guide roller is located on the burner mounting to keep the electrode at a constant distance from the seam, this being effected by a spring-loaded pivot-arm. The trolley runs on a toothed rack mounted on the rail which is fixed to one of the panels by pneumatic suction pads, magnets, bolts, or by welded clamps. The device is uded for welding e.g. two corrugated panels forming the inner wall of a container for liq. natural gas, the outer wall being the hull of a ship and balsa used to fill the cavity between the walls for thermal insulation.

Parent patent described a support for a burner trolley used in automatic welding sheets with flat zones and a grid of corrugations. The support carries a rail or track for the trolley and a base fitted with suction pads for fixing onto the the flat zones. Limit stops are used to locate and centre the base w.r.t. the flat zones and the peaks of the corrugations. In the present invention, the novelty is that the limit stops are fixed. The fixed limit stops may rest on the peaks of the corrugations or on the flat zones. The stops are either fixed on the base or are formed by the base itself. In the main patent, the limit stops were adjustable. It has now been found that, due to the adjustments available for the trolley rail or track, fixed stops can be used.

The device consists of a box rail which has a longitudinal opening on one side of the box. A trolley runs inside the rail and has one surface projecting from the opening; this surface is used for mounting the burner and associated tools. Driving rolls and guide rolls are mounted on the trolley and in contact with all four inside faces of the box rail, two pairs of driving rolls being located on floating mountings and all the driving rolls being surrounded by endless belts fitted with tensioning pulleys. The box rail can be made in several sections joined by jugs projecting from one section and fitting in a strap on the next section, and the rail is also fitted with clamping arms and feet for fixing it on or near the material being cut or welded. This travelling burner-mounting can be used at any angle, e.g. on a construction site, with no risk of the trolley tipping off the rail or damage to the trolley or cables.
