ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The present invention relates to certain new acylated 1-azolyl-2-hydroxy-butane derivatives, to a process for their pre-paration and to their use as fungicides. The new compounds can be prepared by reaction of a 1-azolyl-2-hydroxy-butane derivatives with an acid halide or an acid anhydride in the presence of a solvent and if appropriate in the presence of a catalyst. Two other preparation processes are disclosed in the description. The active compounds according to the invention exhibit a powerful fungitoxic action. For these reasons, they are suitable for use as plant protection agents for combating fungi. They develop a particuarly good activity against parasitic fungi on above-ground parts of plants.
