Die mikrostrukturierte Plattform enthält Hohlräume und Kapillaren, in denen die Flüssigkeit durch Kapillarkraft transportiert wird. Sie umfasst fluidische Schalter, Dosiereinrichtungen für die Flüssigkeit, Abtrennvorrichtungen für die Flüssigkeit aus einer Dispersion und Bereiche zum Zusammenhalten einer begrenzten Flüssigkeitsmenge. Das Kapillarsystem kann verzweigt sein. Die Plattform ist für eien Vielzahl von Untersuchungen mit Flüssigkeitsmengen im Mikroliterbereich geeignet. Es werden nur sehr geringe Mengen von Reagenzien und Hilfsmitteln benötigt, die in den Hohlräumen in eingetrockneter oder immobilisierter Form vorgelegt sein können. An inhaler, a reservoir and a method for atomizing a dry drug formulation are proposed. The drug formulation is first dissolved by a liquid solvent and then atomized together with the solvent. This allows easy dosing and good storage of the drug formulation in the dry state. Most preferably, the dry drug formulation is provided by the drying of an initially liquid drug formulation. Alternatively, the dried drug formulation may also be discharged and atomized in dry form through a gas stream.

The use of 4-(2- or 3-nitrophenyl)-dihydropyridinamide derivs. (I) as natriuretic agents is claimed. In (I), R1 is 12- or 3-nitrophenyl; and R2 is 1-6C alkyl or 3-5C cycloalkyl. Cpds. (I) are used for the treatment of hypertonia, coronary and kidney insufficiency, coronary arrhythmia, liver cirrhosis, ascites, pulmonary and cerebral oedema, pregnancy-associated oedema, glaucoma and diabetes. Admin. is orally, esp. perlingually or i.v., in conventional dosage forms. Dosages are pef. 0.01-0.5 mg/kg i.v. and 0.1-10 mg/kg p.o. In an example, 1,4-dihydro-2,6-dimethyl -3-carboxymethyl- 4-(2-nitrophneyl)-pyridine -5-carboxylic acid imidazolide (IX) (3g) was stirred in 40% methylamine soln. (40 ml) for 18 hrs. and the crystalline prod. obtd. was washed and dried to give 1,4-dihydro-2,6- dimethyl-3-methoxycarbonyl- 4-(2-nitrophenyl)-pyridine -5-carboxylic acid methylamide (I) (2.9 g; 79.2% yield); m.pt. 197-200 deg. C.

Eine Messung der Amplitude und/oder Phase der Partikelschwingung wird zur Bestimmung der Viskosität oder einer damit zusammenhängenden Größe, wie die Gerinnung von Blut oder ein Glucosegehalt, verwendet. A method and apparatus for determining the viscosity of a fluid are proposed. A very simple and accurate determination is made possible by the fact that magnetic particles in the fluid are set in vibration by a time-varying magnetic field. A measurement of the amplitude and / or phase of the particle vibration is used to determine the viscosity or an associated quantity, such as the coagulation of blood or a glucose content.

Trisubstituted biphenyls of the general formula <IMAGE> in which R<1> stands for a carboxyl radical, or for a C1-C8-alkoxycarbonyl radical, R<2> stands for straight-chain or branched C1-C8-alkyl, R<3> stands for halogen, hydroxyl, cyano, C1-C6-alkoxy, straight-chain or branched C1-C8-alkyl, trifluoromethyl, trifluoromethoxy, carboxamido, carboxyl, C1-C8-alkoxycarbonyl or nitro, and R<4> stands for a carboxyl radical, or for tetrazolyl, and their salts. The trisubstituted biphenyls can be employed as active ingredients in medicaments, for example as angiotensin II antagonists.
