Un método para producir un andamio de biomatriz a partir de tejido hepático de mamífero, que comprende: a) perfundir u homogeneizar el tejido hepático con un primer medio basal, en donde la osmolalidad de dicho primer medio es de 250 mOsm/kg a 350 mOsm/kg y dicho primer medio está libre de suero y a pH neutro; después b) perfundir el tejido biológico o extraer el homogeneizado de la etapa (a) con un tampón de deslipidación que comprende desoxicolato sódico y fosfolipasa A2 en dicho primer medio; después c) perfundir el tejido o extraer el homogeneizado de la etapa (b) con un tampón a un pH neutro y que comprende una concentración de sal de 2,0 M de NaCl a 5,0 M, la concentración elegida para mantener insolubles los colágenos identificados en el tejido biológico; después d) perfundir el tejido o extraer el homogeneizado de la etapa (c) con RNAasa y DNAasa en un tampón; y después e) enjuagar el tejido u homogeneizado de la etapa (d) con un segundo medio que está a pH neutro, está libre de suero y tiene una osmolalidad de 250 mOsm/kg a 350 mOsm/kg, para producir de esta manera un andamio de biomatriz intacto u homogeneizado a partir del tejido biológico, dicho andamio de biomatriz retiene al menos el 95 % de sus colágenos originales y la mayoría de los componentes de la matriz asociados al colágeno y factores de crecimiento, hormonas y citocinas unidos a la matriz del tejido biológico.
