A heat sealing method for plastic films is disclosed. Before two layers of films (4) are heat sealed with a heat sealing cutting die (1), the films (4) are tightly pressed by a positioning and separating element (2 or 3). The method enables the films to be positioned reliably so as to benefit the heat sealing, and allows completely cutting off the ventilation between a sealing line and a packing cavity, thereby avoiding secondary contamination of the content caused by harmful gas produced by decomposition during the hot melting of the films. A heat sealing component comprises a heat sealing cutting die (1) and a positioning and separating element (2 or 3), wherein the positioning and separating can be performed in an air pressing or other mechanical manner. The method and the component are suitable for heat sealing articles such as foodstuffs, medicines, cosmetics etc.
