In a wear assembly for securing wear members to excavating equipment, a spool iis used with a wedge to hold the wear member in place. The spool is formed with at. least one laterally extending arm at its upper end in lieu of an axial arm such as useid in a conventional C-shaped spool. In this way, the spool can be easily supported in the assembly as the wedge is installed. The spool does not fall through the opening and no special care is needed to prevent it from falling. The spool also holds itself in place when the wedge is driven into the passage. As a result, installation of the wear assembly is easier and less hazardous. In addition, the lateral support reduces the risk that the spool will suffer spreading.

Зажим образован по меньшей мере одним плечом, отходящим от его верхнего края в поперечном направлении, вместо продольного плеча, применяющегося в стандартных С-образных зажимах. Таким образом, в узле может быть легко обеспечена опора для зажима при установке клина. Зажим не выпадает через отверстие и не требуется специальных мер для предотвращения его выпадения. Зажим также остается на месте при введении клина в канал. В результате процесс установки сменного узла становится проще и представляет меньшую опасность. Кроме того, обеспечение опоры в боковом направлении снижает опасность растяжения зажима.

A coupling structure of a steel bar is provided to increase coupling force between an outer male thread of the steel bar and an inner female thread of a coupling unit by tightening the coupling unit with a nut to narrow a cut part. A coupling structure of a steel bar(50) includes a cylindrical coupling unit(100) and two nuts(110). The coupling unit has a first female thread on the inner periphery, a first male thread on the outer periphery, and a plurality of cut grooves at both ends. The two nuts are coupled with the first male thread. The steel bar has a second male thread coupled with the first female thread on the outer periphery. The diameter of the steel bar is small so that of the second male thread is not in contact with the first female thread. The peaks(512,514) of the first female thread and the second male thread are slightly cut away. The cut grooves get narrower as the nuts are coupled with the first male thread of the coupling unit after inserting the steel bar into the coupling unit. Therefore, when the steel bar is coupled with the coupling unit, the first female thread and the second male thread are not in contact with each other while inclined surfaces(516) of each thread of the first female thread and the second male thread are in close contact with each other.

A spring means having one end connected to the trunnion and the other end connected to the cam is provided for biasing the cam to the clamping position. A lever pivotly mounted on the trunnion has a projection which engages the cam and causing it to pivot with the lever when the lever is pivoted to a clamp releasing position. The cam preferably has two spiral surfaces, one generated by a line parallel to the axis of rotation of the cam and the second cam surface by a line forming an angle with the axis of rotation of the cam. Two stationary surfaces preferably oppose the two cam surfaces, whereby the clamp bears on a total of four surfaces of a support pole when fully secured.

Die Erfindung betrifft einen Klemmverband (1, 2, 6) an einem Strebenelement, beispielsweise zur koppelnden Verbindung von Fahrwerksteilen mittels einer Lenk- oder Spurstange. Der Klemmverband verbindet ein Ende (5) der im Wesentlichen rohrförmigen Strebe (1) des Strebenelements mit einem Gewindebolzen (2), insbesondere zur Krafteinleitung in das Strebenelement. Erfindungsgemäß zeichnet sich der Klemmverband (1, 2, 6) durch eine im Endbereich (5) der rohrförmigen Strebe (1) in einem radialen Ringspalt zwischen dem Gewindebolzen (2q) und dem Innenquerschnitt der Strebe (1) in einem konischen Innengewinde (11) der Strebe (1) angeordnete Gewindehülse (6) aus, wobei die Gewindehülse (6) ein konisches Außengewinde (8) und ein den Gewindebolzen (2) aufnehmendes Innengewinde (12) aufweist. Die Gewindehülse (6) ist dabei zumindest im Bereich ihres strebenseitigen Endes (14) radial elastisch ausgebildet. Der erfindungsgemäße Klemmverband führt zu einer sicheren und dauerhaften Verbindung von Strebe und Gewindebolzen und vermeidet eine Schwächung der Strebenstruktur. Im Vergleich zu den im Stand der Technik gebräuchlichen Klemmschellen wird erheblicher Bauraum eingespart, bzw. Kollisionsgefahr mit angrenzenden Bauteilen vermieden. Die Strebe schwächende und Angriffsflächen für Korrosion bildende Anbringung von Schlitzen und/oder Nuten am Strebenende entfällt.

A track clamp assembly for supporting or splicing tracks of I-shaped cross-section formed by a vertical web with horizontal parallel flanges at the opposite ends of the web and having a pair of oppositely facing grooves formed in the flanges on each side of the web. The track clamp assembly comprises upper and lower clamp members respectively having upper and lower edges insertable in a pair of track grooves, and having interengageable ramp surfaces disposed between the upper and lower edges and extending obliquely thereto. Outwardly projecting tabs on the clamp members are engageable by a connecting bolt which when tightened moves the ramp surfaces into interengagement, increasing the dimension between the upper and lower edges and forcing the clamp members into locking engagement with the track.

TELESCOPING STEERING SHAFT WITH ADJUSTED LASH ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A telescoping steering column is provided of the type wherein a wedge plug and innermost shaft portion are axially wound relatively to each other by rotation of a threaded rotatable control rod to thereby lock and re-lease the innermost shaft portion relative to another shaft portion. First and second stop means are provided to respectively stop the control rod and the one of the two elements (innermost shaft portion or wedge plug) that is not threaded to the threaded control rod against rela-tive axial movement in our direction and in the opposite direction. The first and second stop means allow a limited axial lost motion between the rotatable control rod and the said one element when the direction of the rotatable control rod is reversed so as to axially disen-gage one of the stop means and move the rod axially toward the other by the stop means.
