A corrugated-typed fastener configured to couple a first substrate to a second substrate includes a bridge and a plurality of ribs, the ribs having a plurality of flutes. The flutes, and possibly the ribs, may be angled inwardly to form an apex disposed within the width of the fastener and pointing towards a center of the fastener. The ribs may extend outward from the bridge towards opposing ends of the fastener, and the ends may be at a different height than the bridge when viewing the fastener from the side. Alternatively, the ends may be at the same height as the bridge and also may be generally centered on the height of the fastener.

A system and method for securing adjoining walls without requiring the use of tools is disclosed. A plurality of walls may mate with each other through the use of grooves within each wall to sit flush with each other. A plurality of locking keys may be used to further secure the walls to each other. If disassembly is required, a user may quickly disassemble the present invention by removing the keys and reversing the steps taken to secure the walls to each other. A number of magnetically assisted latch mechanisms are presented, where the latching and unlatching action is done with reduced user effort, therefore promoting speed and efficiency without sacrificing the strength of the bond of the connected components. The latching mechanisms are designed to secure panels or other similar small and large mostly flat components. The latching method is done by a rotating component that takes all the separating load once rotated into the locked position. The rotatable lock, or hammer, is also locked itself into position to prevent accidental movement by the hammer.

Lock and pin combination for cold working cracks

A lock and pin for the structural and fluid tight repair of cracks not amenable to high temperature repairs or synthetic material patches. Fluid tight pins and locks seal the crack while one or more locks prevent the crack from growing. These repairs need to endure the remaining life cycle of the machinery part while withstanding all the strain, pressure, heat and expansion and contraction of the part before the crack(s) were formed. Often these cracks evolved due to engineering design flaws that will require even greater strength from these areas than when new.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Baupaneel mit einer Einrichtung (100) zur Verbindung mit wenigstens einem weiteren Baupaneel auf einem Untergrund (11), wobei eine Stoßfläche des Baupaneels (1.1) in eine entlang der Seitenfläche des Baupaneels verlaufende, erste Nut (9) übergeht und wobei über die Stoßfläche ein eine Lippe (15) tragender Verriegelungsarm (14) hinausragt. Die Lippe weist eine in einen Boden (35) des Verriegelungsarms (14) auslaufende Innenfläche auf. In die erste Nut (9) ist ein flexibler, separater Verbinder (2.1) wenigstens teilweise eingelassen, der einen etwa dachrinnenförmigen Querschnitt aufweist und eine wenigstens teilweise bogenförmige, aus einem Basisteil und einem Schenkel bestehende Wandung (3) besitzt, die mit einer wenigstens teilweise teilzylindrischen oder teilelliptischen Innenfläche an einer Kante dieser Innenfläche - im Querschnitt des Verbinders gesehen - in ein Kopfstück (5.1) und andererseits in einen Fuß (12.1) übergeht. A floor panel assembly includes adjacent floor panels connected together along edges thereof with a locking element extending between the edges. The locking element has a first locking surface; a locking portion at one end; a control portion near another end; and a connecting portion connecting the locking portion to the control portion. The connecting portion is slidably accommodated in a channel of one of the panels and pushed towards a first end of the channel when the locking element is moved or deformed from a first position to a second position by the control portion, the front position being when the panels are disconnected and movable relative to each other and the second position being when the panels are fixedly connected to each other.
