BARN DOOR PRIVACY LOCK

A locking system includes a lockcase which can be embedded within a recess in a jamb of a doorway. A barn door mounted outside of the doorway can be locked in the closed position by actuation of a lock mechanism within the lockcase. The handle interacts with the lockcase, causing a bolt to be translated out of the lockcase and into a strike in the barn door. The strike preferably passes entirely through the barn door, the strike including an outer entry which can be accessed via a key to push back the bolt and defeat the lock for emergency access. Cover plates and handles of different types can be provided for optimal performance. Lock mechanisms within the lockcase convert handle actuation into bolt translation between a collapsed orientation and a deployed orientation for locking the barn door.

Locking trough

The invention relates to a locking trough for receiving a locking bolt of a window or a door, which locking trough has a main body (G) for lying on a building part having a recess. The main body (G) has a cover plate (1) having a passage opening (4). An at least partially closed receiving pocket (6) composed of plastic for receiving the locking bolt is fastened to the main body (G). The locking trough according to the invention can be economically produced, is stable, and can be used in low-noise manner.

A safe door locking system comprising a pinion rotatably mounted inside the door, and a door operating handle wheel at the outside of the door which is drivingly coupled to the pinion. A rack bar is coupled, via a gear mesh to the pinion. The door is adapted to lock by a plurality of in-unison rotatable disc-like lock bolts coupled to the rack bar. The rack is of hybrid structure, constituted by a double-T profiled, non-ferrous metal extruded bar. Inside one of its elongated cavities, at appropriate intervals as determined by the location of the said lock bolts, there are fastened a respective number of gear-toothed inserts meshed with the said lock bolts. An additional gear-toothed insert is fastened inside the other of the elongated cavities, meshing with the pinion. The pinion, the inserts, and the disc lock bolts are all made by slicing off extruded non-ferrous metal bars of suitable shapes, as the case may be.

Latch mechanism.

A latch mechanism particularly for a railway carriage hopper window comprises an elongate handle (16) pivotally mounted by a pivot pin (60) about a latch bolt housing (10) itself secured via a retainer plate (38) to a frame element of the window. The housing 10 contains a latch bolt (12) with integral lateral abutments (40) and is biased outwardly of the housing by compression springs (14). A locking system includes a lockcase which can be embedded within a recess in a jamb of a doorway. A barn door mounted outside of the doorway can be locked in the closed position by actuation of a lock mechanism within the lockcase. The handle interacts with the lockcase, causing a bolt to be translated out of the lockcase and into a strike in the barn door. The strike preferably passes entirely through the barn door, the strike including an outer entry which can be accessed via a key to push back the bolt and defeat the lock for emergency access. Cover plates and handles of different types can be provided for optimal performance. Lock mechanisms within the lockcase convert handle actuation into bolt translation between a collapsed orientation and a deployed orientation for locking the barn door.
