A device and method tor pouring consecutive concrete sections. The inventive device and method preferably include a barrier used to separate adjacent concrete slabs. This barrier is preferably erected in such a way that it allows a construction crew to continuously pour concrete in successive sections of a concrete structure, which prior to the current invention, could not be poured continuously. Previously, concrete sections were poured in an alternating fashion in order to create an expansion joint between each section of concrete which also acts to break the bond between each concrete section. However, the current inventive method and device allows the crew to pour adjacent concrete sections while still creating a joint between each concrete section. Each concrete section barrier preferably includes an upright surface and a keyway which acts to create a mortis and tenon joint. 1. Improved tilt-up and precast construction panels and improved methods for creating the same address deficiencies in the current tilt-up and precast construction panels. Improved tilt-up and precast construction panels use less concrete and less steel reinforcement and weigh less than current tilt-up and precast construction panels. Additionally, improved tilt-up and precast construction panels have greater insulative properties (both heat and sound) than do current tilt-up and precast construction panels. Improved tilt-up and precast construction panels require less labor on the construction site, thereby increasing efficiency and profitability of construction crews. Additional advantages of implementations of the invention will become apparent through the following description and by practice of implementations of the invention.

Tie component

Номер: US20140326853A1
Принадлежит: Titcomb Brothers Manufacturing Inc

The present disclosure relates to tie components that allow for the length of an overall tie assembly to be adjustable, after being anchored in place. Such tie components may exhibit a swiveling capability where a portion thereof may rotate with respect to a corresponding adjustment member, resulting in movement of the tie component and adjustment member back and forth relative to one another, as desired. One or more tie components of a tie assembly may be anchored (e.g., to a wall), yet the overall length, or tension, of the tie assembly may be adjusted. A tie component may include a first portion having an anchor end that may be fixed to a wall, and a swivel end located opposite thereof The tie component may also include a second portion having an adjustment end that may engage with an appropriate adjustment member, and a swivel end located opposite thereof. The respective swivel ends of the first and second portions of the tie component may be rotatably coupled.
