DOLLAR A Vor Einlegen des auf die vorbestimmte Länge geschnittenen Schlauchrohlings in die Negativform wird ein Stützmantel über den Schlauchrohling aufgezogen und gemeinsam mit dem Schlauchrohling und dem im Inneren befindlichen Dorn in eine dem Außendurchmesser des Stützmantels angepasste Negativform eingelegt. Der Schlauchrohling in der Negativform wird ohne vorherige Vorvulkanisation in einem Arbeitsgang vulkanisiert und nach Entnahme aus der Negativform zusätzlich der Stützmantel entfernt.

A portion of the extrudate is cross-linked, preferably with an electron beam, to set the internal diameter and give it shape memory characteristics. The internal diameter is enlarged, preferably to a diameter larger than a connection profile and the end of a connection profile is inserted into it. The internal diameter may be enlarged by insertion of the connection profile. An external stimulus such a temperature or time is applied to contract the internal diameter to compressively seal onto the connection profile. A second connection profile may be applied to the other end of the tube.

ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE When blow molding elongated serpentine tubes or similar articles, loading of the mold cavity with the parison can present a problem. The parison can stick against the wall of the mold cavity. Moreover, a large diameter parison must be used, i.e. the parison must have a diameter equal to the total width dimension of the article, and consequently a large volume of flash is produced. The flash must be trimmed and recycled. In order to avoid these problems, inserts are placed in the mold to define portions of the mold cavity, particularly at corners. Air under pressure is fed into passages in the outer surfaces of the inserts and discharged through small orifices in such inserts against the parison to guide and drive the latter fully into the mold cavity. A vacuum can also be applied to the end of the cavity remote from the parison entry point for drawing the parison into the mold.

The present invention relates to a ducting for a fluid transfer pipeline for an aircraft or spacecraft, an aeronautical structure incorporating it and a method for producing this ducting. The ducting ( 1 ) comprises a pipe ( 2 ) with a thermoplastic or thermoplastic elastomeric layer ( 4 ) and a reinforcing layer ( 5 ) surmounting it. The pipe has a curved and/or bent geometry and the reinforcing layer is made of a composite material based on reinforcing means ( 6 ) that are in intimate and direct contact with the subjacent layer, such as the inner layer, said geometry being obtained by one or other of the following two methods (a) and (b): a) the inner layer is previously hot formed to give it this geometry, the reinforcing means being of choice: (i) impregnated with a thermosetting matrix, the reinforcing layer forming thermosetting composite, or (ii) either reinforcing fibers intermixed with thermoplastic fibers or powders, or impregnated with a plastic polymeric coating that is curable chemically, the reinforcing layer forming a thermoplastic composite; or b) the inner layer, in its initial rectilinear geometry, is first of all covered with the reinforcing layer in which said reinforcing means are reinforcing fibers intermixed with a thermoplastic material in the form of fibers, film or powder, and this inner layer covered in this way is then blow-molded in order to give the pipe its final geometry, the reinforcing layer obtained forming a thermoplastic composite.

A long lenth of an uncured hose is first fabricated by alternately wrapping layers of an uncured elastomer and fiber reinforcements around a straight mandrel. The uncured hose is then removed from the straight mandrel and cut into shorter segments. Each of these segments is then placed on a contoured mandrel having a shape corresponding to the intended configuration of the final hose and cured by heating. Although the fully cured hose does have a permanent shape, because of the unique arrangement of the reinforcements etc., it has sufficient deformability to be easily slipped off the mandrel.

An ejector or aspirator is used to purge the carbon canister in a pressure-charged engine in which a positive pressure exists in the intake. A compact ejector includes a substantially planar flange and a venturi tube coupled to the flange with a central axis of the venturi tube substantially parallel to the flange. By manufacturing the ejector in two pieces, dimensions within the ejector: throat, converging section, and diverging section, is more accurate than prior art manufacturing techniques thereby providing better flow characteristics throughout the boost range. By forming one of the two pieces of the ejector integrally with the air intake component in which it is coupled, decreases part count and the number of manufacturing processes.

A plastic tube is bent by advancing the tube to position a desired first bend location of the tube at a bending/cooling station, the bend location of the tube having been previously heated by a tube heating assembly sufficiently for bending. The tube heating assembly is moved to a next desired bend location of the tube. Bending and cooling the tube at the first bend location, and heating the next desired bend location, take place in overlapping time windows, before advancing the tube to position the next desired bend location of the tube at the bending/cooling station. Total cycle time for heating, bending and cooling is thereby substantially reduced compared to carrying out heating, bending and cooling sequentially. The apparatus is controlled by PLC or PC-based programs, which effect movement via servomotors and also control other parameters such as heating and cooling times and temperatures.

A tubular casing for foodstuffs, in particular sausages, comprising a web (4) which is curved along its longitudinal axis and having its longitudinal edge regions (1, 2) bonded by a glued seam. The edge regions (1,2) meet or overlap and are bonded with a strip of film (6). The strip of film (6) comprises a material which is capable of shrinking in the direction of its longitudinal axis at a temperature between about 60° to 100° C. A pressure-sensitive adhesive is used for the bonding. The tubular casing carries an adhesion-promoting layer (5) on the surface adjacent to the adhesive layer (3). Heating the filled casing gives it a curved form.

Dabei ist der Rasthaken (7) steifer als die Lasche (2). Die Steifigkeit beschreibt den Widerstand eines Körpers gegen Verformung durch eine Kraft oder ein Drehmoment. For fastening of blow-molded components, it is customary to provide at least one molded-on tab. The tab may have a recess, so that the blow molding can be screwed. The object of the invention is to provide a particularly simple attachment possibility of a blow molding. According to the invention, a blow-molding component (1) for attachment to a carrier component (6) has at least one molded-on tab (2) with an elongate recess (4) which can be engaged behind by a latching hook (7) on the carrier component (6). In this case, the latching hook (7) is stiffer than the tab (2). The stiffness describes the resistance of a body against deformation by a force or a torque.
