SUPPORT ASSEMBLY FOR WORK SURFACE

A support assembly for a work surface is disclosed. The support assembly may be secured to at least one gable. The support assembly includes an elongate horizontal support having a predetermined cross-sectional shape a saddle support which supports the work surface. The saddle support has a recess with a shape which corresponds to the predetermined cross sectional shape of the horizontal support. The recess receives the horizontal support therein to securely rest the saddle support on a top portion of the horizontal support. A U-shaped fastener secures an upper member of the horizontal support to an upper portion of the recess.

TABLE SYSTEM

A table frame system uses an elongate support beam, inwardly positioned relative to a perimeter defined by the support legs. The beam or beams are positioned inwardly of a work surface to be secured to the system. Leg support brackets are mechanically connected to the support beam or support beams and include diagonally extending leg support arms extending outwardly away from the connection of the beam to the leg support bracket. The support beams are positioned inwardly of a perimeter of a work surface to be secured to the table frame system. Preferably, the leg support brackets are cast metal and include a large recess for receiving and mechanically connecting with the support beam or beams. Different leg support brackets are used to support one leg or two legs or a "T" leg. The single leg support bracket is adapted to receive and join with two support beams.

A protective structure for personal and or group protection designed to withstand falling objects, flying objects and structural failure resulting from earthquakes or other dangers known and unknown is provided. In its disassembled condition, the stand includes a first and second base frame, a first and second side frame, and four legs, for a total component count of eight, with only three unique components, the base frame, side frame, and leg. The modularity of components provides simplified manufacturing, while allowing for relatively small disassembled packaging for transport, shipping or storage. Office furniture system

An office furniture system for use in an open plan office environment, the furniture system configured as a “hybrid” system including features of both traditional partition systems and contemporary desking or benching systems. In one configuration, one or more work surfaces each include an electronic services bracket mounted beneath the rear edge(s) thereof, and access covers for providing selective access to electronic service modules mounted to the bracket and disposed within a raceway space beneath the rear edges of the work surfaces. The work surfaces may be associated with a partition system or, alternatively, may be associated with a desking arrangement. In another configuration, at least one electronic services module is mounted beneath a horizontal frame member of a partition, and work surface mounting brackets are used to mount one or more work surfaces on one or both sides of the partition. The work surfaces may include access covers to provide selective access to access spaces adjacent the electronic services modules.

ROCKING DESK

Devices described in the present disclosure can include a rocking desk with a desk top having a top side and a bottom side. The rocking desk can also have multiple legs, each leg may be attached to the bottom side of the desk top and may have a curved bottom edge that can cause the rocking desk to tilt at an angle when force is applied to the desk top. The curved bottom edges can also provide a stable balance point when the force applied is maintained and a desired amount of rocking for the desk when the force applied is removed. The stable balance point and desired amount of rocking can be achieved by the amount of curvature of the bottom edge of the rocking desk's legs, the angle of attaching the rocking desk's legs, and/or the height of the rocking desk's legs. 1. A pedestal leg assembly includes a pedestal leg and floor base. The leg includes a plurality of teeth near the bottom end of the leg and a connecting bolt in a threaded engagement with the bottom end of the leg. In lock position the release mechanism engages at least one of the teeth to prevent rotation of the pedestal leg in one direction. An integral system for stabilizing a long table on an uneven surface. One version includes two spaced supports with each of the supports comprising a vertical member. One horizontal platform attaches to an upper portion of one of the supports and an underside of the table top and a second horizontal platform affixed to a post and attached to the underside of the table top. The post is insertable into the vertical member of the other support and movably joined at a first end thereto such that the post may move side-to-side, in a rocking manner relative to the vertical member stabilizing the table. Another version includes a table having two spaced supports each with a horizontal member and a stabilizing member configured to slip over one horizontal member and movably connect thereto. The flat pack table is arrangeable into a compact state in which the first U-shaped bar and second U-shaped bar are nested around the table top and the straight bars.
